Telangana Government conducts major reshuffle of Administrative Officers: Arvind Kumar reassigned

M. Dana Kishore replaces Arvind Kumar as the Municipal Administration Principal Secretary and will also take charge of HMDA Metropolitan Commissioner and Municipal Administration director responsibilities

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has undertaken a significant administrative restructuring, transferring ten IAS officers. Notably, Arvind Kumar, serving as the Municipal Administration Special Chief Secretary, has been reassigned as the Special Chief Secretary Revenue (disaster management). Mr Kumar, previously holding additional responsibilities as HMDA Metropolitan Commissioner and Municipal Administration Commissioner, has been relieved of these duties. This move, forming part of the government’s bureaucratic reshuffling, signifies a change in key administrative roles.

Simultaneously, Rahul Bojja, assuming the role of General Administration Department Secretary, replaces V. Seshadri in this capacity. Mr. Bojja continues to hold additional responsibilities as the Secretary and Commissioner of the scheduled castes development department.

B. Venkatesham, currently serving as Principal Secretary of the BC welfare department, now assumes the position of Education department Principal Secretary, along with additional responsibilities as Collegiate Education Commissioner.

Vakati Karuna has been appointed as the Secretary and Commissioner of Women, Child, Disabled, and Senior citizens department, relieving Shruti Ojha from this role.

Furthermore, several other officers have undergone transfers and appointments in various departments, such as the reassignment of A. Vani Prasad from the Transport department to the role of Environment, Forests, and Science & Technology principal secretary.

Additionally, changes include the transfer of Christina Z. Chonthu from Commercial Taxes commissioner to Health and Family Welfare secretary, and T.K. Sridevi taking over the former's position. C. Sudarshan Reddy moves from Municipal Administration department secretary to Hyderabad Metro Water Board managing director, and R.V. Karnan assumes the role of Health and Family Welfare director, previously held by Mr. Dana Kishore.
